What is Plus 5?
Plus 5 is a warranty extension program provided to you exclusively from members of the Plus 5 community of contractors. Since Tishhouse Electric is a part of this community, we are able to offer this program to you at no additional cost to you or the general contractor. This program is aimed to provide peace of mind to homeowners and builders when hiring Electrical Contractors such as ourselves.
Tishhouse Electric and our employees were pre-screened and accepted into this program to ensure that we are fully qualified professionals and are able to wire your new home safely and securely.
The program is called "+5" because it adds an additional 5 years to the original 1-year warranty that we offer. This means that your home is covered for a full 6 years against any problems.
With +5, the homeowner can call anytime he or she suspects that there might be an electrical problem, without the fear of being socked with a big bill to pay. In the event that there is an electrical problem, it can be corrected before it becomes major or catastrophe strikes.
When construction of the home is completed and it is time for the closing, a +5 Electrical Maintenance Agreement and registration card will be provided to you.
The Maintenance Agreement spells out all provisions of the +5 Homeowners Electrical Protection Plan. It informs the new homeowner how to file a claim in the unlikely event that a problem should arise during the five years of +5 coverage. If a problem should occur, an authorized electrical contractor will come to fix the problem at no expense to the homeowner, builder or developer.
